Help with projects

MOLART Advise can be requested from JAAP-Enterprise.com to assist you in paintings research, advanced analysis of paint cross sections, review of research programs, brainstorming and proposal writing.

Since 2007 we have worked with Tate Modern London (Mark Rothko), Statens Museum for Kunst Copenhagen (Jordaens), Mauritshuis The Hague (Rembrandt), Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna (Vermeer), Rijksmuseum Amsterdam (Vermeer), Swiss Institute for Art Research Zurich (Amiet).

Painting Research and Technical Notes

Topics of interest to art scientists will be presented under Painting Research as an introduction to certain paintings that we have worked on and published about.

Technical Research Notes is a knowledge transfer page intended to make knowledge and practical tips available. 

Metal soaps

Metal soaps is featured as a separate topic because it is such a widespread phenomenon in museum collections. It will describe in detail how they are formed, what they look like microscopically and how they can be recognised in paintings.

Publication lists and MOLART Reports

Our list of publications according to topics will be given on this site. Publications and the MOLART reports are available as PDF files and can be downloaded from www.amolf.nl/publications. Printed version of the MOLART Reports can be ordered via my contact form as long as they are available. 

Talks and posters

Selected slide shows of my talks and pdf's of posters that have been presented will be made available. Quite possibly as videos using You Tube. This part is under construction.
